The mission of this research is to prepare personnel in minority institutions of higher

education to serve children, including infants and toddlers, with Disabilities

•Our Objectives•

Recruit and support highly qualified bilingual scholars for professional careers in early childhood special education,
Offer coursework that is field experience embedded and evidence based in special education and early childhood with a focus on culturally and linguistically diverse children.
Develop relationships among scholars, community members and organizations and families to build a community of practice.

A scholarship program that supports a completion of a Master’s Degree in Special Education with an early childhood focus. Scholarship recipient will receive

Tuition and fees associated with the 42-credit hour courses required for a Master of Education in Special Education with an emphasis in early childhood.
The books associated with these courses.
UTRGV parking permit (for two years).
Reimbursement for state teacher certification exam fees.
