The mission of this research is to prepare personnel in minority institutions of higher
education to serve children, including infants and toddlers, with Disabilities

•Our Objectives•
- Recruit and support highly qualified bilingual scholars for professional careers in early childhood special education,
- Offer coursework that is field experience embedded and evidence based in special education and early childhood with a focus on culturally and linguistically diverse children.
- Develop relationships among scholars, community members and organizations and families to build a community of practice.

A scholarship program that supports a completion of a Master’s Degree in Special Education with an early childhood focus. Scholarship recipient will receive
- Tuition and fees associated with the 42-credit hour courses required for a Master of Education in Special Education with an emphasis in early childhood.
- The books associated with these courses.
- UTRGV parking permit (for two years).
- Reimbursement for state teacher certification exam fees.
- A tablet
